“Last year was a difficult year,” said Coach Pelham. “We didn’t have many seniors or juniors so we had to depend on our young players to start at many vital positions. Our team struggled early but continued to improve each and every week, which was a testament to the toughness of the kids and families at White Knoll. We return a lot of players that started varsity games last year. In addition, our young men have committed to our year round program and have had a tremendous amount of strength gains in the past 7 months. Our team is eager to continue to improve and they are excited about the upcoming season. Our biggest goals are to drastically reduce the amount of turnovers from a year ago and to play with an enthusiasm and confidence that can come from the playing experience many of our players gained last season.”
