The talent pipeline from Rock Hill to USC continues. Saturday afternoon Legion Collegiate CB Judge Collier (6-1 190) announced his commitment to the Gamecocks. Earlier this month Collier performed at one of Shane Beamer’s camps and left with an offer. It was just a matter of time before he followed the likes of Rick Sanford, Jadaveon Clowney and Stephon Gilmore from South Carolina’s high school football hotspot to the Capital City.
“I went out there in one-on-ones and covered some of the top guys they had out there at receiver and got a lot of reps. I did well in the drills. I had great measurables in the 40-time and broad jump,” Collier said after his camp outing earning personal accolades from Beamer and secondary coach Torrian Gray. . “I’ve got range, I’m long, I performed well and have good ball-skills. They said some of my best football is yet to come, so they like my potential and what I have to offer.”
USC was the first major offer for Collier and he later picked one up from Boston College. He also had offers from Air Force, Navy and Wofford.Collier is the seventh commitment for the Gamecocks’ 2023 class and the first from South Carolina.
