All Midlands Players of the Week: Week Eight

The All-Midlands Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week is an honor to these young men who capture the awards. There are approximately 1600 to 2000 varsity players in our coverage area, so the competition for these awards is fierce.These awards remain unsponsored to prevent compromise of the selection process due to potential “lobbying” or influence from would be sponsors.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – WEEK EIGHT
RB Jonah Norris

JONAH NORRIS, RB, LEXINGTON

This is Norris’ second Player of the Week award for the year. He rushed for 257 yards and 4 touchdowns in win over rival River Bluff Friday night. He now has over 1,400 yards rushing on the season.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – WEEK EIGHT

LB Chandler Perry

CHANDLER PERRY, LB, DUTCH FORK

Perry had 10 tackles, 1 for loss and a 36 yards stripped ball-fumble return for a touchdown in win over White Koll. Perry and the Dutch Fork defense allowed just 49 yards of total offense to the Timberwolves.
