Gamecocks Land Ohio CB

The recruiting weekend for USC opened on a big note Friday afternoon when 2024 CB Karson Hobbs (6-1 180) of Cincinnati announce a commitment to the Gamecocks. Hobbs was in Columbia for an unofficial visit and committed to head coach Shane Beamer during a one-on-one meeting in the coach’s office.

Hobbs is the second commitment for the Gamecocks’ 2024 class joining quarterback Dante Reno who is also visiting this weekend.

Hobbs also visited USC in mid-June when he was in for one of the Beamer camps. He also holds offers from Kentucky, West Virginia, Akron and Marshall.The Gamecocks could land three more commitments this weekend for their 2023 class. DE Monteque Rhames of Sumter will announce Saturday night at 7:00. On Sunday, WR Carmelo Taylor and OT Markee Anderson have their announcements set for around 3:00 PM.
