Clemson’s raid of talent across the state of Georgia continued Wednesday night with a commitment from DT Stephiylan Green (6-4 275) of Rome. His commitment comes a day after College Park defensive end AJ Hoffler committed to the Tigers. Green is the seventh Georgia resident to commit to Dabo Swinney for his 2023 class, and all of them are on the defensive side.
Like the vast majority of Clemson’s commitments this month, Green made his official visit with the Tigers the weekend of June 3rd and did not make any other official visits after that. It was on that official visit that he received his offer from Clemson. He chose the Tigers from a short list that also included Tennessee, Ole Miss, Georgia, Alabama and Ohio State.
Green also made unofficial visits to Clemson, USC, Ohio State and Alabama. He’s the 14th commitment for the 2023 recruiting class.
