I heard a lot of rumors about what schools are coming to 4A and not sure what's true. So does anyone know the schools that are moving down or coming up to 4A

Region 1 - Could be anybody in that line up. TR graduates a ton. Easley and Westside drop down from 5A. Pickens and Walhalla not too sure about

Region 2 - Eastside and the field.

Region 3 - LOVE that Indian Land is in 4A. Very curious to see how CR progresses in their 2nd year of existence. Add in stalwart South Pointe and Region 3 IMO is a pretty high caliber region.

Region 4 - LE runs this region even with losing a lot of seniors

Region 5 - Don't know enough about any of these teams

Region 6 - only four of those 7 have wrestling programs so that's a downer. Can't wait for the day Florence 1 gets wrestling

Region 7 - I really like this region because all 7 have wrestling programs and in any given year these programs produce some pretty decent kids / teams.

TR graduates a two time state champ (Riley) A state champ and three time placer (Holmes), and a finalist (Foster).

TR still has a finalist (Brooks Russ-Martin), a placer (Bradley Russ-Martin), a state champ (Hughes), a 3 time qualifier (Mclees), and qualifier (Shepherd).

Also have 2-3 on the team that could have qualified but were beat in wrestle offs (Miller, Ward, Coker).

So TR is NOT graduating a ton. They reload pretty well next season. But... after next season... who knows.

TR shouldn't have too many issues in that region. Easley and Westside will have bodies being large 4A schools, not sure on the talent level of those bodies. Pickens and Walhalla I don't see much there.

Guest FYI

Former Byrnes Head Coach Eric Hansen is heading back into the classroom and in the corner, after over a decade in Administration, to start the Lucy Beckham program.

Will be interesting to see how he does. Brand new school, brand new program, essentially splitting up the largest school in the state (Wando).

They'll also be starting with only 9th and 10th grades and adding a grade each year until it's 9-12. Will be interesting to see what they are able to do early on.
