All Midlands Super Ten Poll: Week Six

ALL-MIDLANDS SUPER TEN
1 AC Flora Falcons 5-0
The Falcons are unbeaten and got a big win over Chapin on the road. A four touchdown performacne from QB Carew Bates and a 200+ yards/2TD game from RB Markell Townsend led the way.
2. Lexington Wildcats 4-1
The Wildcatrs were idle this past week and will head to Chapin this week to match up with the Eagles in region play.
3 Dutch Fork Silver Foxes 5-1
The Foxes dropped in the polls because of the way they lost to St. Frances, but don’t think I don’t believe they are still the best team in the Midlands. Their defense is second to none here and will carry their offense through regino play.
4 White Knoll Timberwolves
6-0
Coach Nick Pelham has the Timberwolves on fire and their defense is playing
outstanding. A solid balanced attack on offense is getting the job done but they must cut downon turnovers. Big game this week against River Bluff.
5 River Bluff Gators
5-1
A loss to Dorman is not too bad and this team finally started throwing the
football. With the added threat of the pass from QB Parker Murray, it should help RB Cooper Johns to even bigger performances. This week, region match up with unbeaten White Knoll.
6 Ridge View Blazers 4-1
The Blazers were off this past week but get started on region play this week. The defense is their strength but their offense is beginning to come around.
7 Gilbert Indians 3-2
The Indians lost to the state’s best 2A team in Saluda but were in the game. I’m worreid about this team being one dimensional and though it may get them through region play, I don’t think they will get deep in the playoffs without some kind of pass threat.
8 Sumter Gamecocks 5-1
The Gamecocks dropped their first game of the season on the road at Oceanside Collegiate. The fact that OC is a very good football team does not escape me but Sumter is supposed to be a 5A contender and should win that game.
9 Irmo Yellow Jackets 4-1
The Jackets got a good win over Airport Friday night and got a 350 yards game out of QB AJ Brand in his first game back from injury. Now, region play begins and all games count.
10  Blythewood Bengals 3-2
The Bengals were off this past week but start up region play this week. I believe this team can fight for a 2nd or 3rd place finish in region play.
