Nick Johnson

Nick Johnson, DE/LB, Heathwood Hall is a 2023 guy who is as solid as they come on defense. The 6-4, 215 senior has 40 tackles on the season with 9 for loss, 2 forced fumbles and 2 fumble recoveries. Like every other guy I’m highlighting today, he is an FCS caliber player and should get some serious looks when they decide to start looking at high school players.

Chris Frye

Chris Frye, DB, Lexington is another 2023 guy who deserves some looks from schools. Frye is a 6-0, 175lbs safety who has good range and is a spy on the ball. He has 36 tackles from his run support at safety, a tackle for loss, a forced fumble, fumble recovery and has 4 PBUs, 2 INTs and one for a TD on the season. This is against quality competition and that needs to be noted. Chris is another player who is hurt by the FCS schools’ insistence on using the portal but he can definitely play at a high level for Division II schools. Someone needs to take a look at him.
