The Fab Five Rankings series is simply a ranking of the top five players at each position based on peformances thus far. This is not a prospect ranking and does not mean No. 1 guy is any better of a prospect than the No. 5 guy. What it means is that these are the rankings as I see it right now based on performance.
With the wide receivers, it is about two things with me; one, how explosive are they? What do they do after the catch? How big of a threat are they to score? This is not purely a stats thing with the wide receivers.
FAB FIVE WIDE RECEIVERS
1. Nigel Johnson, Crestwood – Johnson is averaging 29 yards per catch with 352 total yards and has a 33% scoring percentage on receptions.
2. Kamadi Maxwell, Lexington – Maxwell is averaging 27.5 yards per catch with 330 total yards and has a 33% scoring percentage on receptions, as well.
3. Jai Boyd, Fairfield-Central – Has 272 yards and is averaging 20.92 yards per catch and has a 30% scoring percentage on reeptions.
4. Zion Agnew, Ridge View – Is 2nd in Midlands in receiving yards at 420, averaging 22.1 yards per catch and has a 15% scoring percentage on receptions.
5. Ty Greer, Fairfield-Central – Leads the Midlands with 442 yards and is averaging 19.63 yards per catch with an 18% scoring percentage on receptions.
