Midlands Prospect Watch

Week Three bring me ot the second installment of the Midlands Prospect Watch. These are players who have caught my eye with their performances and prowess on the field and need to be looked at by recruiters.

RB Jonah Norris

Jonah Norris, RB, 5’11, 190, Lexington (2023)
Norris has had an all-state level of his first two weeks for the Wildcats. He’s rushed for 433 yards and scored 7 touchdowns. This is a back who can play at the next level. he’s got good speed burst and he sticks his foot in the ground and explodes out of his cuts full speed when he sees daylight. I think he’s at least an FCS back and honestly think he could play Group of Five level if given the chance.

Kellen George

George Kellen, DE, 6’3 1/2, 215, Ben Lippen (2025)
This kid is new to my eyes. He’s had a good two weeks for a sophomore, collecting 8 tackles and 4 sacks for the Falcons. Hes a guy that can play end in either a 3 man front and drop to an OLB or run stop, and he can fit into a four man front, as well. He’s going to grow some more and I’m excited to see what this guys future holds. He’s got no film available yet but I can assure you he is legit. Good speed, explosive first step.

Josh Saddler

Josh Saddler, LB/DE, 6’4,215, Ridge View (2023)
Saddler has played well in his first two weeks of his senior season, coming off a great junior year. He’s got 10 tackles and 4 QB hurries in two weeks. He’s got a good wingspan and is quick. He’s difficult to block off of the edge and he’s athletic enouth to play coverage at linebacker. Currenlty, he has some Division II offers but I think he can play at a higher level.

RB Lamarion Peterson

Lamarion Pearson, RB, 5’9, 165, Lower Richland (2024)
Pearson started for the Diamond Hornets as a sophomre and had a stellar year. This seaosn, through two games, he’s rushed for 265 yards and 5 touchdowns. He’s very shifty and can navigate traffic very well. He’s finds daylight out of traffic and cuts off of his blocks well. when he hits the seam, he’s got a great speed burst. He rminds me a lot of Conway’s Bobby Wallace (2005) who signed with South Carolina out of high school.

WR Tydarian Greer

Tydarian Greer, WR/RB, 5’9, 170, Fairfield-Central (2025)
Another sophomore who is burning it up this season. Greer is a three sport athlete (football, baseball and track) and played significant snaps as a freshman for the Griffins. He’s got great speed (4.53) and has sticky hands. He’s caught 16 passes in two weeks for 316 yards and 3 touchdowns. This kid is a little short in height but is a great burner type receiver prospect. The film doesn’t lie.
