Worth the Price of Admission: Must See Players for Week Two

These are the players that are worth the price of admission just to watch them play in Week Two

Stephen Collier will put on a show

1. Stephen Collier, WR/DB, River Bluff is always worth the price of admission. Last week, he had 163 total yards. He’s exciting to watch at wide receiver and equally fun to watch returning kicks and playing defense. I don’t think Swansea can cover him this week.

2. Grayson White, QB, Camden destroyed Myrtle Beach’s defense with a combined pass/rush total of 367 yards and 5 touchdowns. He’s playing Lugoff-Elgin this week so I’m betting it will be more entertainement from this junior athlete.

3. Cam McMillon, QB, Fairfield-Central passed for 315 yards and 5 touchdowns against Carvers Bay last week. This week will be a little bigger test but watching this freshman, who looks like a reincarnated Malcolm Young (Gaffney/SC State), will be fun.

4. Cooper Johns, RB, River Bluff rushed for 113 yards and 3 scores against Lugoff-Elgin. He’s got a good offensive line and the threat of a passing game to help him so I expect he will have another great game and worth the ride to The Swamp.

Camden LB Wilson Nash

5. Wilson Nash, LB, Camden lit up Myrtle Beach last week for 13 tackles and a sack. He’s a downhill headhunter and you can see him on field hawking the ball and going after it. I like this kid’s aggressiveness and if you like wathcing good defense, he’s worth the ticket.

6. The Wilson boys from Spring Valley, David Wilson and Jonas Wilson, combined for 25 tackles and 2 sacks last week. Another great defense to watch and will be interesting to see them against White Knoll.

7. Luke New, QB Pelion lit it up last week, leading all Midlands scorers with 6 touchdowns. He passed for 113 and one score and rushed for 211 yards and 5 more scores. Oh, and by the way, he also kicks the PATs.

8. Will Wilson, QB, RNE rushed for 122 yards and 2 scores and passed for 140 yards and 1 score. This cat is exciting to watch and reminds me of Sumter’s William Richardson (2003) who played at Coastal.

Zai Offord

9. Zai Offord, WR, Gray Collegiate is one of the more electric wide receivers in the Midlands and he doubles at corner on defense. He’s a big play receiver and has speed to burn. Definitely worth a ticket.

10. J’Von Mack, DB, Dutch Fork had two interceptions last week against a good Hough teams. Now, I don’t know if he will get a repeat performance or not but this kid jumps on the ball quick and he could very well steal a couple against Spartanburg.
