Class of 2025 Top Ten Players: Early Rankings

West Columbia (SC) This is way early for a rankings for the Class of 2025 but we have a pretty good read on some of the guys who played as freshmen or have impressed us in this off-season and early season. There will be MANY editions and additions to this list over the next 9 months, so realize there will be changes.

Stephen Collier

A few notes on this Top Ten. River Bluff’s Stephen Collier is the clear No. 1 here and I beleive he will be the No. 1 player in the state for this cyle. I haven’t seen a football athlete like him since Mark Barnes (RNE 2007) and Collier may be even better. He’s so dang good on both sides of the ball that he projects as high on either side. Irmo quarterback AJ Brand is the top signal caller in this very good cycle of quarterbacks. Brand has a strong

Irmo’s AJ Brand

arm and good vision, and is a dangerous runner. He’s movile and adjusts his body very well when he throws on the run, getting his shoulders turned where they need to be. He reminds me of Camden’s Eric McCullom, who led Camden to the State Champship title and played at Iowa.
Westwood’s Deekante Mack is a guy who I think is going to develop into a menacing defensive ned. He reminds me of Byrnes’ DE Corey Miller (2010) who went on to Tennessee.  Richland Northeast’s Will Wilson is a big, strong, athleteic quarterback with a strong arm. He can run and he can flat sling the footbal. He’s got the height that DIs like to see and he’s a cerebral guy with a high football IQ. He has some interest already from NC State, where he

Gray Collegiate’s Caleb Ford

camped this off season. Gray’s Caleb Ford is a strong, physical runner and punishers tacklers. He can get tough yards. He’s going to get faster and that will help him. In today’s college game where backs are in rotation, he’s the perfect guy to have. River Bluff’s Parker Murray is a guy who I’m excited to watch develop. He’s a smart quarterback with a very good long ball. His arm strength is there to throw  the timing routes and he’s mobile enough to call him a dual threat. He’s a definite next level player at some level of Division I; which level remains to be seen based on how he develops but his ceiling is very high. Chapin’s Tanner Short is one of the best athletes in this group. The question is where is he going to play on the field. He is one of those high school athletes that can play anywhere for you and may have to do that for Chapin. But he’s an animal at linebacker and I think that is his natural home. His

Brookland-Cayce’s Trequan Singleton

height is not what the high level Divisino I guys like, but he would be a monster at the FCS level. Don’t take my comment wrong. He can play high level DI,I’m just not sure they will take a chande because of the height. That said, he’s young and could that height cold change. Brookland-Cayce’s Trequan Singleton is an undersized defensive tackle that’s height will probably keep him in FCS/Southern Confernce type of play. But he has impressive me with his prowess ond physicalit on the field. Gray’s Zeb Taylor is still a young football player

AC Flora’s Aiden Mosley

but I like his athleticism and what he does from his end position for the War Eagles. He’s a bit short for a high level Divisino I DE but is athletic enough that he could even drop back to a linebacker spot in a 3-4. AC Flora’s Aiden Mosley may be one of the most under rated in this class. He plays behind on eo fhte top backs im the MIdlands but this guy would probably be starting at most schools as the feature back. He’s got great speed, is powerfully strong and has the speed to get to the edge when he needs to. I”m not certain he will stay at the RB spot, as he will probably see some time at LB and could easily fit that role.
