River Bluff Tight End is Dual Sport Star

River Bluff tight end Blaine Rose went through a learning process as a junior. The 6’2, 210lbs athlete took the field for the Gators and was used primarily as a blocking end, though he did have 5 catches for 60 yards.

He shows good athleticism on the field and it is evident with his performance in track and field too, where he won the Region championship in the Javelin throw and captured third place in the SC Track and Field Championshps.

He’s got the hands of a wide receiver and in camp setting, looks very good this year. I’ve seen him run receiver agilities and he sinks his hips and transitions like a wide receiver and catches the ball away from his body. He could be a strong asset in a run-passing game that utilizes the tight ends.

He has one offer on the table from Marist for football. He has Navy, Armu, Florida, Erskine and Southern Wesleyan have all showed interest in his prowess with the javelin. For football, he has been shown strong interest from Furman and Western Carolina.
