Impact Player: DB Dylan Locklear, Camden HS

The defensive back group in the MIdlands is strong for the class of 2023 and one of the best in the group is Camden’s Dylan Locklear.

the 5-11, 176lbs senior was an integral part of the 11-3 State runner-up Bulldogs’ team in 2021, finishing with 36 tackles, 3 interceptions, 3 PBU and forced fu,b;es/

He is a very versatile player and can play press man, off man and has the speed to cover a wide range in zone coverage. His physicality and abiliyt to pop his hips and run with receivers makes him strong in press man, rarely getting out of phase.

He’s a multi–sport athlete who has wrestled and runs track, competing in the 100, 200, 400, both relays and the long jump and triiple jump. He has a personal lbest of a 10.9 in the 100 meters and was state qualier as a member of the 4×400 meter relay team.

He has generated a lot of interest and been contacted by Ga Tech, The Citadel, Wofford, UNCC< NC State, Duke, ECU,, Charleston Southern, Air Force, Elon, App State and Marshall.
