2023 Defensive Back Turning Heads

Fairfield Central has historically produced some of the top prospects in the Midlands area and the Class of 2023 will not be an exception.

Defensive Back Donovan Watkins is a player hwo has displaed prowess on the field that has capture the eyes of recruiters. The 5-11, `167lbs senior will be starting for his fourth consecutive season as a Griffin.

Watkins has very good range in zone coverage and covers a lot of groung. When receivers goes deep, he rarely comes out of phase on the coverage. He’s got good breaking speed and is a ball hawk. He’s also a good tackler in open field and coming up in run support.

He currently has two DIvision II offers from Anderson University and from North Greenville.
