2020 Defensive Back Christian Miller of Hilton Head is one my top defensive backs for the Class. He’s had a busy off-season, participating in several of the big shoe-box camps and has performed well. He received invites to the Under Armour All-American Camp in Charlotte, as well as the 3-Stripe Camp series. He also has an invite for the Nike Opening camp.
His camp performance shows good athleticism. He uses his hands well against receivers and displays a good understanding of leverage against his oponents. When he gets out of phase in a transition, he recovers quickly. Shows great breaking speed and good instincts. He shared his thoughts on the camps with us.
” It was a very good experience,” Milelr said. “The competition was very tough but I realize stars don’t matter. I was a top performer at all 3 of the major camp. I prefer to be in pads. I learn a lot about perfecting my technique. You get different perspectives from the variety of Coach you receive. I learned that I can compete with the best competition out there. SC has a lot Of untapped talent. I get feedback on my last season film from D1 coaches from a lot of programs.”
The 5-11, 170lbs corner finished the 2017 season with 41 tackles, 9PBU’s, 3 int’s. He is listed as High School Blitz Top DB’s in SC, 2020 Football University All American, Selected Cam Newton 7V7 AllStar Team and is one of the top five DB’s in the SCVarsity.com Class of 2020, which is a very deep class of talent.
He lists his favorite schools as Clemson University, University of Tennessee, University of South Florida. Currenlty, he has an offer from South Florida but has Tennessee interest, Wake Forrest interest Ole Miss interest, Clemson interest, Coastal Carolina interest, Citadel university interest, Florida interest, Appalachian State interests, Old Dominion interest, Georgia State interest, Mercer interest, university of Kentucky interest, Marshall interest, Florida International interest, Southern Miss interest. He has been contacted by all of those schools.
