The Class 4A will see a lot of familiar faces at the top of their regions in this preseason Region Predictions, but there are going to be some new faces battling for those top spots.
REGION 1 – Look for the Bears to repeat as they return a strong core group of talent after losing some solid skills players. The sleeper in the group is Greenville sitting at No. 3. They could be one of the more improved teams in the region.

REGION 2 – Greer and Union County will battle this out fo the top spot and everyone else is battling for 3rd and below.

REGION 3– South Pointe is the top of the entire class and the rest of this region will
battle for second place. Look for Ridge View to be very competitive.

Augusta will battle Airport for the second spot. The Eagles of Airport are
big up front but filling a lot of holes in skills positions.

REGION 5 – Chapin looks to be the best in the region in
preseason. Orangeburg-Wilkinson always has a chance and Dreher returns the region’s best running back.

REGION 6 – Hartsville will be strong again but Lugoff-Elgin is on the rise and
is hungry. I believe the Foxes of Hartsville win this region again but the battle for second will be interesting.

REGION 7 – Very competitive region; Myrtle Beach appears to be the best in the region but Marlboro County and NMB are both
capable of sinning it. Wilson is a sleeper and could spoil someone’s season.

REGION 8 – Berkeley returns great talent and will be improved from last season, but Cane Bay returns some of the region’s top players and may actually be better than last year’s team.
