SPRING VALLEY AT IRMO
The Vikings are coming off a loss to Lexington last week and are sitting at 2-3. Defensively, they’ve given up 157 points in five games and are giving up big plays. Their offense is strong when it is on but sputters when it is off. Irmo is 2-4 and while their defense is not bad, it has given up 158 points because their offense is three-and-out most of the time.
Spring Valley’s defense can handle the Irmo almost-lethargic offense. But Can the Viking’s offense play consistently and not turn the ball over? Quarterback DQ Smith will need a good game to get this win for the Vikings. The sophomore signal caller has rushed for 315 yards and 5 TDs this season and passed for 1000 yds and 14 TDs.
