2021 Two-sport star turning heads as defensive back

Piedmont  (SC) The Class of 2021 is loaded with talent around the state and Wren High School has their share of rising stars. Shyhiem Scottland (6-2, 185) is on the radar of in state schools for his prowess on the football field and he definitely has a college future in track and field.

The rising junior collected 71 tackles, 42 solo, 10 pd, 9.5 tfl in 2018 as a sophomore. He has seen interest from South Carolina, Virginia Tech, App State, and Coastal Carolina.

This past season in track and field, he was selected all-region and all-state. He won the region in the triple jump and Pole vault and finished 2nd in the long jump and placed third in the pole vault. He won the SC state championship in the high jump with a mark of 6’8.

His list of favorites are South Carolina, LSU and UCLA.
